A Dartmouth police sergeant has been placed on paid administrative leave and is the target of an internal investigation. According to published reports, Police Chief Tim Lee says that Sgt. Frank Condez's department-issued, .40-caliber glock handgun was reported missing on Oct. 1 but the Chief says the missing gun has nothing to do with the investigation. Lee adds the probe began months ago. Condez is president of the Dartmouth Police Union and has been a member of the Dartmouth Police Department for more than 15 years. The chief says the department has hired an outside consultant to lead the investigation.
