A 28 year old Dartmouth man is facing heroin trafficking charges following his arrest in New Bedford.

Adam Sousa of Dartmouth was arrested Sunday night as he was leaving a supermarket off Route 18 in the South End.

Det. Captain Steve Vicente tells WBSM News, Sousa was under investigation for operating a heroin delivery service.

Police recovered 100 grams of heroin during a search, worth about $10,000 on the street.

Sousa was scheduled to be arraigned Monday in New Bedford District Court.
