The Dartmouth High School Band left Met Life Stadium this weekend with a second place finish at the US Bands National Championships.

Bill Kingsland, Director of Music for Dartmouth Public Schools, says the second place showing was achieved while competing against some of the best marching bands around.

Kingsland says the accomplishment is even more successful when you consider that roughly half the students are in grades eight through ten.

In addition to the second place finish the band also won the High Music Trophy along with awards in the Percussion and Visual categories.
