Dartmouth Firefighter Under Arrest

A Dartmouth firefighter is under arrest.

Dartmouth Police say District #1 Fire Lieutenant Troy DeCouto was placed under arrest Thursday, and is accused of stealing gasoline from the District #1 Station.

An investgation by Dartmouth Police and Fire officials was initiated earlier this month after claims of DeCouto's alleged actions.

As a result of the investigation, 43-year-old DeCouto faces one charge of larceny over $250. He was arraigned Thursday in Third District Court in New Bedford.
