The Town of Dartmouth begins its 350th anniversary this weekend with a celebration of the Smith Mills and Hixville Villages.

They're being held this Saturday and Sunday in and around the Dartmouth Middle School and adjoining fields off Slocum Road.

Dr. Cyndi Marland of Dartmouth Community Television is in charge of the year's activities and tells WBSM News there will be a saulte to Dartmouth churches in a display in the middle school lobby.

One of the highlights of Saturday's events is a fire truck parade starting at Shaw's on Rt. 6 To the middle school where some eight local fire departments will take part in a fireman's muster.
