The New England Patriots have made quite a few splashes into free agency so far this off-season in hopes of putting together a championship roster. It seems that their championship pedigree is what they should thank for landing at least one of the big time stars they snagged, though. All-pro cornerback Darrelle Revis, who is entering his first season with the Pats, came to town for one main reason and that is to get the chance to hoist the Lombardi Trophy and have his name go down in history as not just a tremendous defensive player, but also a world champion.

After spending the first seven years of his career, six of which with New England rival, the New York Jets, searching for a championship and coming close a few times in New York, Revis decided that when he was making his pick of where to go this season, he'd have one thing in mind. The team had to be a winner and legitimate championship contender.

Luckily for him, New England came knocking and the two sides were able to work out a one year deal where each will have the chance to help each other succeed.

In a recent interview with ESPN for it's "SportsCenter Conversation," Revis talked about just that and how excited he is to be in New England, on the same side as Brady and Belichick.

Speaking as a Patriots fan, we're happy to have you Darrelle!
