Cyclist in Critical Condition after Being Struck by Car in Freetown
An unidentified woman is in critical condition after being struck by a car while riding her bike in Freetown over the weekend.
The incident occurred Saturday afternoon along Middleboro Road.
According to police, the middle-aged woman was traveling south on the roadway when she was struck from behind by a car driven by 18-year-old Molly Smith of Freetown.
The woman was taken to St. Luke's hospital, then medflighted to Mass. General Hospital for treatment.
Freetown Police and State Police are continuing their investigation.
