The Celtics, who held three first round draft picks in the 2016 NBA Draft, used their second selection of the night on an young international big man.

According to a WEEI.com report, Yabusele, who wasn't projected to be selected until the second round in most mock drafts, last played for Rouen Métropole Basket in the French A division.

The 6-foot-8 20-year-old averaged 11.5 points and 6.8 rebounds last season and is considered to be advanced on the offensive end with an ability to shoot from the perimeter. He does have some work to do on the defensive side of the ball.

The WEEI report does acknowledge the fact that there is a substantial belief that Yabusele might be stashed overseas for a couple of years, as international players are not required to come to the states right away.

The interesting pick not only came as a surprise to most fans and media members, but it also seemed to catch Yabusele off guard as well.

The young big said he was "really surprised" to be taken with the 16th pick, but very pleased.
