The Titanic is the one I remember because as a library page, I retrieved this particular one so many times for research papers. In fact, most libraries at one time had original copies dating back to the 1900s for people to reference for personal use or for research.

Now National Geographic has complied the most unforgettable covers and shares the moving stories behind them. Also, included in the book are the untold stories from photographers and editors as to the arduous process in shooting and selecting the covers.

The book is arranged by decade starting in 1960 and ending in 2014. From the forward by Chris Johns to the inspiring stories and photographs, The Covers: Iconic Photographs, Unforgettable Stories is a treasure trove of beauty, history and meaning for everyone living today.
