A Wareham couple has been charged with a series of breaks into homes and cars in the Rose Point section of Wareham.

Police were called to that area early Wednesday after getting reports of a man acting in a suspicious manner on Nelson Street.  After further investigation, Police arrested 24 year old Brittany Crowe and 29 year old James Cyr, both of Barlow Avenue in Wareham.

Three breaks were discovered early Wednesday, and two more were reported later in the day.  James Cyr was charged with five counts of burglary.  Brittany Crowe faces three counts of burglary.

Police say the items taken from cottages and motor vehicles were minimual, but some property was recovered.  Both suspects were arraigned Thursday in Wareham District Court.

Police Chief Richard Stanley praised those citizens who initially reported suspicious activity in the Rose Point neighborhood, giving Police a head start on solving the crime.
