Cony Island Style Hot Dogs Right From Home — Phil’s Tips From The Kitchen
The kids (and everyone else) will love the taste of my Coney Island Hot Dog Sauce! It’s so easy and you can freeze portions for quick meals.
4 cups tomato juice
1 1/2 pounds ground beef (break up while cooking so meat looks almost minced.)
2 tbsp paprika
1 1/2 tbsp cumin
1 tsp garlic powder
1 envelope onion soup mix
1 tsp Kosher Salt
Cook ground beef and drain all the fat liquid. Then add all the ingredients over a low flame and simmer for 1 hour, stirring from time to time, without sampling it every time you stir it!
