Oh man...

My palms are already itching, and I'm getting antsy at the thought of all the great deals I'm going to find at the SouthCoast's Largest Yard Sale, happening Aug. 2 at Paul Walsh Field in New Bedford.

Yard Sale Season unofficially kicks off this weekend, and after a long, cold winter I'm glad to finally be able to get out and start looking at all that great stuff laid out on lawns and driveways across the SouthCoast. I'm more than ready to start digging through the boxes of old records, sifting through plastic bins of broken action figures and searching every square inch of table space to find that one special buy.

Not to toot my own antique horn that I purchased for just $3.50, but I'm kind of the King of Yard Sales around these parts. As much as I love my Saturday morning shift on WBSM, I sometimes worry if I'm missing out on some great early-bird deals while I'm on the air.

Yes, it's an obsession. But I'm fine with that.

The good news is that with the SouthCoast's Largest Yard Sale, there will be so many great vendors all in one place, at one time, that you can't help but trip over a great deal. There are also still some spots available if you'd like to sell your wares that day as well.

And I'm also planning on broadcasting live from Walsh Field that morning...so if there's some dead air during the show, don't adjust your dial...I'm just in the process of bargaining for something cool!
