If you watched any television this summer you've no doubt seen the Cumberland Farms commercials featuring David Hasslehoff, this is the second year for the ad campaign.

Last summer there were stories of the cardboard cut out's of the 'Hoff' being stolen from the stores, this year the same is true.  Recently a store in Shelton had their signs stolen putting the clerk in the hospital trying to stop it from happening.

The clerk noticed an SUV pulling up and the driver cutting down two of the signs from a light post and putting them in the back of the SUV, when the clerk approached the vehicle to try and get the signs back the vehicle sped away clipping the employee knocking him backward and hitting his head on the pavement.

The unnamed employee is in critical condition Bridgeport Hospital.
