Two men attempted to rob a Cumberland Farms store in the South End Friday night.ran off after the clerk refused to hand over any cash.

Police say the attempted robbery happened around 10:30pm Friday at the Cumberland Farms Store on Brock Avenue. One of the two men was carrying a brown gun, and demanded money from the clerk.  According to Police, the clerk didn't think the gun was real, and refused to hand over any money.  The suspects then fled.

The men are described as light-skinned and in their 20's.  They were wearing nylon masks over their faces and dark-colored, hooded sweatshirts.  Anyone with information is asked to call New Bedford Detectives at 508-991-6300, ext. 320.
