NEW BEDFORD — There are no classes on Monday for students at New Bedford's Hayden-McFadden Elementary School.

Arthur Motta, Community and Public Affairs Manager for New Bedford Public Schools, says a pipe along the school's ground floor had burst over the weekend, requiring immediate attention.

Motta said the repairs required the heat in the school to be turned off.

It's not clear if the school will reopen on Tuesday.
