Clasky Park Lights Put Crowd In Holiday Mood

Sunday night's bitter cold failed to halt the festivities at Clasky Park in New Bedford.

Mayor Jon Mitchell, members of the City Council and Santa Claus were on hand for the annual lighting of Christmas Lights at Clasky Park. Students from Parker School also provided some Christmas songs to take away the chill.

Shyla Gaylor and her family made their first visit to Clasky Park and enjoyed the display....

The display is assembled every year by students from Greater New Bedford Voc-Tech High School. It includes hundreds of colorful lights, Christmas decorations and mechanical displays highlighting Santa's workshop.

The lights will stay up through the holidays.
