The Charles W. Morgan's stay in New Bedford is expected to be a huge tourism magnet for the city.
A number of events are planned over the next two weekends that center on the Morgan's return to the Whaling City. Tourism Director Dagny Ashley tells WBSM News she expects some big crowds to tour the vessel over the next week.
The homecoming ceremony officially welcoming the Charles W. Morgan back to New Bedford is being held Saturday on State Pier. WBSM will carry the ceremony live starting at 10am. The vessel will open to the public later that afternoon.
