More than 3,500 pieces of art work done by New Bedford student-artists is on display at the Paul Rodrigues School Administration Building on County Street.

Superintendent Dr. Pia Durkin says the annual district-wide student art show is a big attraction, and will be open to the public starting Friday, from 8am to 4pm, through May 21st.

Durkin says every school is represented, and the art show "reflects the hard work of our teachers and shows the gifts our students have."

The display features two dimensional works, mixed media, and sculptures, and  is located throughout the first and second floor hallways at the administration building.

Durkin said she had a chance to take a private tour of the art work this week.  She described it as "outstanding."
