The New Bedford Business Park welcomed its newest resident with a ribbon cutting ceremony Wednesday afternoon.

HTP, Inc. moved to the business park earlier this year and celebrated its new headquarters at the former AFC Cable Systems site on Duchaine Blvd. Wednesday.

The three story building includes several operational divisions including executive, financial, marketing, engineering and manufacturing.

HTP President David Davis says consolidating all of the company's operations into one building is only going to increase productivity.

"These are some of the things that will really help us as we start to move forward. The bricks and morter are really the foundation, this building is the foundation, of where we're going," Davis said.

HTP, Inc. manufactures and distributes space and water heating products as well as solar thermal panels.

The company expects to create 40 new jobs at their new location, adding to the 155 workers currently employed.

HTP was previously located in Freetown where it still operates two additional facilities.
