Director of Environmental Stewardship Michelle Paul tells WBSM News the lots will serve some sort of purpose after they're cleaned up.

The lots at Ruggles and Greenwood Streets were purchased by the city in 2008. The remediation plan now goes to public comment until September 11. Work will begin shortly after that with city crews performing the remediation. The city is paying for the project out-of-pocket.
