City Man Faces Illegal Drug Weapons Charges In District Court
A New Bedford man is facing a dozen counts of illegal drug and gun violations.
Nineteen year old Mason Teves was arrested Monday night outside his Swift Street apartment by members of the Organized Crime and Intelligence Bureau, who had a warrant to search Teves’ apartment.
They found a 22-caliber Remington rifle with serial numbers obliterated, a nine-milimeter semi-automatic handgun and a Ruger revolver, plus ammunition.
Also found were two pounds of marijuana, 28 grams of heroin, 16 grams of cocaine and 42 Percocet pills.
Teves faces arraignment in New Bedford District Court. Police say the drugs had a street value of more than $10.000.
