The New Bedford City Council returns to the chambers tonight for their regular meeting. One of the items on the agenda is the potential replacement of a bus used by New Bedford veterans to get to medical appointments in Providence. Council President Steve Martins filed the motion, and says the bus is more than unreliable.

Martins says the bus is fairly old and in need of desperate repair or replacement. If the motion passes, a letter will be sent to Mayor Mitchell and Veterans Agent Chris Gomes asking them to seek out funding for a new vehicle.
