24/7 News Source - CIA Director John Brennan is not calling the enhanced interrogation techniques used on detainees torture.

When asked at a press conference today whether detainees were tortured, Brennan said there were times when CIA officers exceeded policy on authorized interrogation techniques. He acknowledged some officers went "outside of the bounds" during the interrogation process and in some instances, the techniques used were harsh and abhorrent.

Brennan said he'll leave it up to others how they may want to label those activities.
