The Jewish community of Greater New Bedford is once again going to be serving Christmas meals to the elderly and needy this Christmas morning from 11 am to 2 pm.

Stan Levine, the vice president of the Board of Tiferith Israel Synagogue in New Bedford, tells WBSM news a complete menu is served.

Levine adds its a tradition that's been going on in the city for 45 years. He said he's following in his parents footsteps and his children also take part. Reservations are being accepted for both meals and transportation to the Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church by calling 508-991-6250 by 11:30 Monday morning.
