Chobani Issues Official Recall on Tainted Yogurt

The FDA said it had received more than 89 complaints from people claiming they got sick, with symptoms of nausea and cramps, after eating Chobani yogurts tainted by mold.

Although experts say this mold should not pose a health risk to most people, others have immune systems that doesn't tolerate the mold well.

Last week, Chobani quietly pulled 35 yogurt flavors, but this week the company decided to issue an official recall. The affected products bear the code 16 - 012 with expiration dates between 9/11/13 to 10/7/13.
