DARTMOUTH - A Chicago man is arrested in Dartmouth after police observed suspicious activity.

At approximately 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, Dartmouth Detective Sean McGuire saw the man walking door to door, supposedly trying to sell magazine subscriptions. Police determined the man was not properly registered to solicit within the town.

Police identified the man as Tyrone Trevell Scott, 27, of Chicago, Illinois.

While conducting a check, police discovered Scott was wanted on a full extradition warrant for his arrest issued by the California Department of Corrections for burglary into a dwelling. Scott was arrested on the warrant and is charged with being a fugitive from justice.

He faces arraignment in Third District Court in New Bedford Wednesday.
