The Republican candidate for Governor has some ideas on ways to help small businesses in Massachusetts.

Charlie Baker shared some of those ideas Thursday with business leaders at the Chamber of Commerce....

Baker also wants to elminate fees small businesses must pay simply to open their doors in Massachusetts.

In addition to his Chamber speech, Baker also met with Mayor Jon Mitchell to discuss local issues and projects.

Mitchell said Baker asked for the meeting to discuss New Bedford. The Mayor agreed to meet, but told WBSM News, he is still committed to supporting Democrat Martha Coakley in the Governor's race.
