Multiple charges have been filed against a Westport man whose motorcycle collided with a Wesport Police cruiser early Monday morning.

Police Det. Jeff Majewski tells WPRI-TV that 30-year-old Derek Pereira is being charged with failure to stop for police, operating to endanger, speeding (120 miles per hour) in a 50 mph zone, driving with a suspended license (for failing to pay child support), and operating an uninsured and unregistered vehicle.

Before the collision another Westport police cruiser ended a pursuit of Pereira when the chase allegedly reached speeds of 120 miles per hour.

Surveillance video shows that the cruiser was hit by Pereira's motorcycle after it turned on its flashing lights and pulled into the road.
