Chamber Honors Job Creators And Community Benefactors
The New Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce is saluting business leaders in the community during the Chamber’s Annual Meeting at the Century House in Acushnet.

Chamber executive Roy Nascimento said Upsource, Inc, Colonial Honda, and Fairhaven Shipyard have made major investments in their businesses in tough economic times, and all three have created jobs in the region. Also honored were Larinda Camara of ABC Disposal and Jose Castelo of the Castelo Group for their community service.
The New Bedford Ocean Explorium was given an award for its education programs in local schools, and the Schwartz Center’s Mary Harrington was named Chair of the Chamber Board of Directors for the next year.
