According to Waltham Police, Jared Sullinger turned himself into police on Tuesday morning after a warrant for his arrest was issued. 

Update 4:40pm - Bail was set at five-thousand-dollars and Sullinger is due back in court September 19th. The "Boston Globe" reports his girlfriend declined to seek a restraining order and he is allowed to contact her by phone or with another person present.

He allegedly pinned her to the bed, pushed her and smashed her phone after she tried to call police. The couple reportedly argued Saturday over "perceived infidelity."

WBZ reports that Sullinger was arrested on Tuesday on charges of assault and battery. The charges are from an incident involving his girlfriend, and took place on August 31, 2013.

Sullinger is also being charged with intimidating a witness. His girlfriend is not hurt, and did not need to be taken to the hospital.

Sullinger is expected to be arraigned in Waltham district court sometime on Tuesday.
