It's been "done" for a while, but the Boston Celtics officially signed free agent forward Gordon Hayward to a max contract, Friday.

Hayward's deal will pay him $128 million and keep him in Boston for four years.

The C's had been after Hayward for some time, heading into this offseason. After meeting's with the Miami Heat and his former team, the Utah Jazz, Hayward decided to link up with his college coach, Brad Stevens, and the C's on a multi year deal.

Hayward announced his decision to follow Stevens from Butler to Boston late on the Fourth of July, though the team had to make some subsequent moves and wait a bit before they were able to formally announce the signing.
