Boston Celtics guard Avery Bradley has long been lauded by the local media for his defensive abilities. Today, the fifth year pro finally got some love from NBA All-Defensive Team voters.

Bradley was selected as one of five 2015-2016 NBA All-Defensive First Team players, along with San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard, Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green and LA Clippers center DeAndre Jordan and guard Chris Paul.

The selection was the first such honor handed down to the former Texas Longhorn, who has developed as a key cog in the Boston back court.

Bradley, who also averaged 15.2 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.5 steals per game this past season, received 149 points and 62 first place votes to make the team.
