National Health Center Week is August 12 - August 18, 2018.

According to HealthCenterWeek.org, National Health Center Week is an “annual celebration with the goal of raising awareness about the mission and accomplishments of America’s health centers over the past five decades.”

Greater New Bedford Community Health Center is celebrating this special week in a BIG way.

"In celebration of National Health Center Week, Greater New Bedford Health Center will be covering the cost of zoo admission for children under 12 at the Buttonwood Park Zoo in New Bedford on August 13 from 9 am to 12 pm."

Toe Jam Puppet Band will be there to entertain the little ones with two shows. One at 10 am and the other 11:30 am. GNBHC will have a table with some fun gifts for kids.

Greater New Bedford Health Center has a few more events comping up on Tuesday, August 14, as well. There will be a bone marrow donor registration match drive from 1 to 4 pm at the GNBCHC Auditorium.

GNBCHC Senior leadership team will also be volunteering from 5:30 to 7:45 pm at United Way of Greater New Bedford's food bank.
