Sailor In Iconic Times Square Photo Dies At 86

 

The World War Two sailor who famously kissed a nurse in Times Square is dead.  Glenn McDuffie passed away earlier this week at the age of 86. 

The famous "LIFE" magazine photo featuring McDuffie locking lips with the nurse was taken in August 1945 after Japan surrendered to the U.S.
