Actress Carrie Fisher is reportedly in a Los Angeles hospital after suffering a massive heart attack on a plane.

The actress went into cardiac arrest on a flight from London to LAX. The incident is said to have happened about 15 minutes before the plane landed in Los Angeles.

She was reportedly given CPR on the plane and was rushed to a nearby hospital once the aircraft landed. Her condition is unknown.

Fisher is best known for playing Princess Leia in the original "Star Wars" trilogy and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

Her other credits include the films "Shampoo," "The Blue Brothers," and "Hannah And Her Sisters." The 60-year-old is also known for her novels, including "Postcards From The Edge."

Fisher said that she gets most of her material in her books from her experience of battling mental illness and addiction. She was on a book tour in London before heading to Los Angeles.
