Carney Acadamy Hosts “Reading Is Fundamental” Program
November 13, 2012 7:09 PM Dozens of volunteer readers visited classrooms Tuesday at Carney Acadamy in New Bedford, as part of the “Reading Is Fundamental” program.
Elected officials including State Rep. Keiko Orrall (above), business leaders, former Mayors, and current Mayor Jon Mitchell were among the readers. School Prinicipal Karen Treadup applauds those volunteers who made some time to read.
