Car Explodes in New Bedford’s South End, Investigation Underway [VIDEO]

New Bedford Police and firefighters responded to the scene of a car fire in the South End Thursday night.

The fire was reported just after 11pm Thursday at Winsor and Crapo Streets. The car, a 1999 Nissan Sentra, exploded before the fire was extinguished.

It's not known what caused the fire or if anybody was injured.

The fire is under investigation.
