Car Crashes into Home in New Bedford

NEW BEDFORD — New Bedford Police are investigating an incident Thursday afternoon where a car slammed into a single-family home at 255 Park Avenue.

Police Department spokesman Lt. Nathaniel Rodriguez says the crash happened around 12:30 p.m., and caused extensive damage to both the car and the front of the home.

The driver sustained only minor injuries. One occupant of the house was not hurt.

Police say they're still trying to determine what caused the crash. It's not known if the driver will face any charges.
