The Capri Motel on Rt. 6 in Dartmouth is back in business. The motel passed an inspection Wednesday and a spokesperson for the motel says that it has regained its occupancy permit and could begin renting rooms immediately.

Director of Public Health in Dartmouth Wendy Henderson says the motel staff "worked very hard" to bring the Capri up to code after the town closed it and added that inspectors have checked every room within the past three months.

Health officials closed the Capri in September after a litany of complaints stretching back to 1988 and told management they couldn't  rent rooms until the facility passed a thorough inspection.
