A Cape Cod man was in Wareham District Court Monday, after his arrest on drug trafficking charges.

Chief Kevin Walsh tells WBSM News, officers responded to a disturbance early Sunday morning on Glen Charlie Road. When they arrived at the scene, they spotted a car leaving the area, operating erratically and with its lights off. The vehicle later stopped on Spectacle Pond Road, a dead end, and the operator was arrested.

Police say 25 year old Scott Peacock of Centerville attempted to throw a plastic bag from the driver's side window, and dropped two syringes when he got out of the car. Police also found three plastic baggies containing 22 grams of suspected heroin inside the car, plus another syringe.

Peacock was charged with trafficking heroin and motor vehicle violations.
