The intersection at Rt 18 North and Coggeshall Street has been re-opened to traffic, and local business owners are relieved, to say the least. Business owners at the intersection have been experiencing a lull in customers since the Acushnet Avenue International Marketplace project began in April.

Maria Raposo, owner of Raposo's Hair Design and Tanning tells WBSM News she remained optimistic over the past eight months, and she has her customers to thank for that.

Maria says she's thankful for the City as well, and is pleased with the progress on the project so far.

Michelle Benoint, co-owner of The Dog House on Coggeshall Street says it's been slow-going since the first shovel hit the ground.

The project still has some ways to go, and occasional construction-related delays will continue until the renovation is complete sometime next summer.
