A Southcoast realtor still thinks commuter rail service to New Bedford and Fall River can happen.

Paul Chasse heads a coalition of businesspeople supporting the Southcoast Rail Project. Chasse tells WBSM's Tim Weisberg, local lawmakers have done a great job to get the project where it is, but the next step is the tough part, building support on Beacon Hill.

"Part of the challenge is getting other legislators onboard from other areas. Let's face it, all this money, everybody's vying for the same transportation dollars, so everbody's got a project, everyone needs something to happen," says Chasse. "What we're saying is Spouthcoast Rail, its about time." \

Chasse says the Baker Administration continues to fund design work for the project. You can check on the progress of Southcoast Rail by visiting the coalition's website, railtoboston.com
