Bumble Bee Foods announced that they are recalling more than 31,000 cases of canned tuna.

According to Bumble Bee's website, “three UPC codes of canned Chunk Light tuna are being recalled because of ‘process deviations’ in the commercial sterilization process that ‘could result in contamination by spoilage organisms or pathogens, which could lead to life-threatening illness if consumed.’ No illnesses have been reported in connection with the tuna.”

The affected products were produced in February and include the UPC code 8660000020, 8660000021 or 8660000736, as well as a "can code" that starts with T.

It is advised that customers who have Bumble Bee Chunk Light Tuna inside their house should throw it away if it is part of the recall. For more information or a reimbursement, call 1-888-820-1947 from 9am to 6pm.
