Firefighters spent over four hours dealing with a brush fire in Somerset.

Lt. Jason Phillips tells WBSM News the fire was reported shortly before noon on Monday near Route 6, Brayton Point Rd., and Wilbur Ave.

The fire took place in a wooded area behind the Home Depot, Stop & Shop, and National Grid.

Units cleared the scene at 4:11 p.m.

Phillips says no damage or injuries were reported but over four acres of land were burned.

The cause of the fire hasn't been determined.
