Bristol County Savings Bank Opens Two Branches In New Bedford

The President of Bristol County Savings Bank says he's excited about the bank's most recent expansion in New Bedford. 

The bank opened two branch banks this month at 37 Rockdale Avenue and 1657 Acushnet Avenue. 

Both were former locations for Admirals Bank, which decided to leave the retail banking industry. 

Bristol County Savings President Patrick Murray says he wanted to put a branch in Downtown New Bdford, but he's pleased with the South End locations....

City officials joined the bank's employees for a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Rockdale Avenue location. 

Murray says all Admiral Bank employees were invited to stay on with Bristol County Savings, and all of them did. 

Mayor Jon Mitchell said Bristol County Savings is a tremendous asset for New Bedford.
