Bridgewater Police[/caption]A Bridgewater man faces firearms charges following his arrest in Wareham.  According to Lt. Kevin Walsh, detectives on thursday night approached a vehicle parked outside the West Wareham 7-11 store. As the officers approached the car, a passenger in the back seat became agitated and uncooperative.  A struggle began and police placed 24 year old Mathew Striggles of Bridgewater under arrest.  Police later searched the suspect, and found a Beretta 40 caliber handgun in his pants.

Police say the weapon was loaded and its serial number had been defaced.  Striggles faces four counts including possession of a firearm without a license and resisting arrest.  He was arraigned Friday in Wareham District Court.
