Multiple public structures across Massachusetts will light up blue tonight in honor and memory of fallen Yarmouth Police Officer Sean Gannon.

The 32-year-old Gannon, a New Bedford native, was shot and killed last Thursday while serving an arrest warrant against 29-year-old Tom Latanowich, a career criminal.

A post on the Yarmouth Police Facebook page says, "The men and women of the Yarmouth Police Department, K9 Nero, K9 Satu and K9 Gauge and all the members of the Gannon Family deeply appreciate this show of support in our time of need."

Gannon's vigil and visitation are slated for tonight, with burial taking place tomorrow.
