Though it's absurd to continue this charade of whether or not Tom Brady will return to quarterback the New England Patriots in 2018, another indication that the future Hall-of-Famer will be back came today from a solid source.

According to Brady's agent Don Yee, the 40-year-old is expected to be on the field for the Patriots this coming season.

Yee, who spoke with ESPN's NFL Insider Adam Schefter, left little doubt with his statement.

"Tom's intentions have not changed," Yee said Monday. "He's consistently said he'll play beyond this contract and into his mid-40s, or until he feels he isn't playing at a championship level. I understand the constant speculation, but this is one point he's been firm about."

Questions have been swirling all offseason, regarding Brady's status, though most of it has been in an attempt to have something controversial to talk about for the media.
