After all of the controversy that arose this offseason, regarding Tom Brady, his place with the New England Patriots and his future, the All-Pro quarterback finally took to the mic to address the media.

Brady took questions from a crowd of media members, following the conclusion of the team's third and final mandatory mini-camp practice session of the week, Thursday afternoon.

Of the questions peppered at the future Hall-of-Famer, the inquiry into his thoughts on retirement this offseason came up. Brady quickly dispelled the rumors from this spring, saying he never contemplated hanging up his cleats.

Brady, who said he was having fun this week and excited about the upcoming season, was also asked about his relationship with Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, which appears to be at least partly fractured over the issues that have transpired the past few seasons. The 40-year-old said he's got a "great relationship" with Belichick and that he loves playing for him.

Brady was also probed about his contract status and the chances of him attending next week's voluntary organized team activities next week, during his nearly four minute spot, and was less than forthcoming on both fronts.

He said he doesn't discuss his contracts, as those talks are "personal." In regards, to his plans for the voluntary OTAs, he was completely noncommittal, saying the day of work today still wasn't even done.

There is a growing belief the five-time Super Bowl champ will, once again, avoid the team's voluntary workouts, though only time will tell.
