Boy Knocked Down By Deer

A Newton teenager is recovering after being knocked down by a deer. Authorities said the 17-year-old boy was walking to Newton South High School Tuesday morning when the deer burst from a swamp and smashed into him. The boy made it to school with just a few bruises. Fall is deer mating season, and the animals are more active than usual.
